A BIG "Thank You"

I want to thank Gramma Ann for this lovely award!!! Thank you, Ann, so much!!! I really do appreciate it!!! She knows how much I love animals, especially cats. She, too, is also a cat lover and has recently taken in a newcomer to her home by the name of Mr. Jones, and he's a cutie! Hop on over to her Ann's Quotes and Things and check it out....you'll be glad you did! Her other blog where she posted this award is called Ann's Reading Corner. She has a photo of her reading corner as her header, and it looks so-oooo cozy and relaxing! She is a great blogger and publishes some very interesting posts!

I know it's been almost a month since my last post, but work has been crazy working with "snowbirds" every day who are looking for winter homes in the Orlando area. I am going to try and do better. Usually, by the end of the day, I am so tired that all I want to do is grab a quick bite to eat and head on to bed, which is usually around 2 or 3am. I hope to get around and visit you all soon!

Yesterday took me to Greenville two times with my daughter's cat, Buster. We had to leave him there, and then they called when he was finished. He was due for his one-month post chemo checkup and ultrasound. The ultrasound showed that there is no reoccurrence of his bowel cancer, thus far. I just received a phone call from the specialists' facility with his bloodwork results. Everything is the same as it was the last time. He has had an elevated kidney value all along. His BUN is at 54, whereas normal is in the 14-36 range. This indicates that he is experiencing some kidney failure, but it hasn't improved, nor has it worsened, since his last bloodwork was done. All cats by the age of 15 experience some kidney value problems. Anyhow, we are very pleased with the good news, both yesterday and today! He has to go back on December 1st for another checkup and chest x-rays. They keep a close watch on them after they have received chemo and/or radiation treatments.

Our leaves are turning, but I don't think the colors are as vibrant as they have been in previous years. They are more muted in color this year, and there are a few leaves falling! We are expecting temp of 77 on Thursday! The nights have cooled so nicely, though. And then also the holidays are quickly approaching....something else added to my "To Do" list! LOL

I'll be around to visit you soon! Thank you all for being so faithful in leaving me comments and sticking with me. I want to also thank those of you who have emailed me with little notes! It's so nice to be remembered when I have been such a poor blogger lately....I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart!

P.S. Does anyone know why Blogger won't allow me to separate my paragraphs??? I have to copy and paste everything into a Word document and space it there, and then copy and paste it all over again and place on my blog. Strange, huh? But it works!

It's goooood to have you back. I was shopping today and saw some of the cutest "cat calendars". Of course, I thought of you.

Hope things slow down for you soon.

First, I am so saddened by the loss of your furbabie, Scooter. How terribly tragic, but a long life for a wonderful baby!! May she rest in peace.

Then, of course, I'm always happy to see you leave a comment when you visit. Hope you're doing well. Hey, as far as I'm concerned, life sometimes takes time away from blogging and it can't be helped.

Glad to hear about Buster and no recurrence of the bowel cancer. That's good news.

Nothing like Autumn foliage, for sure.

Again, Nancy, it's always good to hear from you...take care of yourself, and hope you get some much needed rest...you sound so busy!!

Hi Nancy,

Good to have you back, and congrats. on the cute award!

So glad to hear that Buster is hanging in there with no re-occurence of the bowel cancer.

You have been busy. I hope things ease up for you somewhat, so you have more time to blog.

Thank you for the sweet comment at my blog. Take good care, and God bless!

Hugs,

Renie

Nancy,

You deserve the award. I hope Buster continues to remain stable and his check-ups improve each month.

It's sounds like you are so busy you are having trouble working sleep time into your schedule. Take care of yourself or who will look after your furry friends? ;)

I hope you have a nice week. And don't worry about blogging. We all understand, so do what you can and don't worry, be happy! ;)

No idea about the Blogger issue. I scratch my head a lot when it comes to blogging stuff, LOL!

Glad to hear Buster is holding his own. Much to be thankful for there.

Take care, Nancy, and blog when you can.

Love and hugs,

Diane

Glad that Buster is doing better, and I haven't had problems with blogger except I am not receiving my comments in eamil... and I checked all my settings and its right...weird huh!

I knwo that you are just as dissappointed with the election results as I am... we need to be praying hard! But God will take care of everything!

I have been extremely busy too.. and I wanted to thank you for checking on Emmy and keeping in touch with everything that has been going on.

Have a great end of the week

Hi Nancy!
I was so glad to hear from you!! And so glad you are ok and just busy! The Showbirds are relentless this time of year aren't they? But that's where part of the economy comes from down there. (I'm not a snowbird, just a wannabe!)
And I'm so happy to hear that Buster is doing good and holding his own. That's had to be added stress worrying about him.
Please take care of yourself and know that your blogger friends will be here when things calm down in FLA!
Big hugs, Sherry

Nancy,

I'm glad your kittie had a good checkup and that things are staying the same. I remember when our dog had kidney failure. It was a few months before he got worse.

Sometimes blogger is well... just blogger. I use the HTML for paragraph and it works great. I've tried to put it here but blogger won't take it. Go figure. I will check to see if you have an email addy on your profile.

Try to keep enough time for yourself to relax a little. All work and no play is hard on our health and I'm saying that through experience.

Take care, my friend.
Blessings,
Mary

Dear Nancy, congratulations on the award. Now after you get some sleep go back to my blog. And click, there is a beautiful slide show. I guess I didn't word it correctly, the ones that have stopped by, thought the click would make it glitter. But it was to see the slide show.

Hi Nancy! So glad to find a post when I checked in with you! I know how busy you are and with this snowbird season it must be crazy! It was very busy while we were in Orlando a couple weeks ago but tons of fun.

So glad that Buster got a good check up. I am still feeding stray kitty and now little black stray kitten. He is living in the barn so we are going to have to make a cat door for him as we close the barn up tight for the winter. I can't get anywhere near him, he just runs away so I hope that will change like it did with stray kitty. He's really friendly now and will come in the house. The neighbors that want him are feeding him and having him come in the house so that he will settle there for the winter. He's fat as a little pig as at least three of us that we know of are feeding him!!

I sometimes have spacing problems with Blogger too and now my spellcheck says it's working but it isn't but I never know why it does this and then it clears up. Has to be a Blogger thing so try going to them and see if anyone else is having the problem and sometimes they will say they are working on it.

I've been enjoying my pie plate, have made many apple pies in it already! Right now I have pneumonia so I am not doing any cooking to speak of but will be right back at it when I feel better!

Welcome back Miss Nancy, great to see ya. This would be snow bird time for sure. Right now it is snowing outside like crazy. Say, if you even need an assistant, let me know I am looking for something to do from home.

Great to see you back
